Mark Fleckles's Recommendations
Mark was outstanding throughout my entire home purchasing process. He went above and beyond to keep things moving along. This included countless trips to the house in order to save me the time and ensure the escrow process stayed on track. Mark is professional, knowledgeable, and strives to exceed his client's expectations. I would definitely recommend Mark and will use him again in the future!
As a first-time homebuyers, we were really intimidated by the entire process, especially after hearing lots of horror stories from coworkers and friends. Mark, however, was incredibly inviting and intuitive. He asked lots of questions about what we wanted, how we felt, and how we pictured the next few years of our lives, demonstrating a level of patience I didn't expect from a real estate agent. To boot, he always gave us honest opinions of potential properties, looking at them for potential issues or if a place was too expensive for what it offered us, which further exhibited that he was not hurrying us along to close a deal and make a commission. Instead, it showed us how he was truly dedicated to finding the right home that fit our needs and budget. Since we were so new to the process, at each step Mark provided us detailed information of where we were in the process and moved us along swiftly and deftly, responding to all of our (dumb) questions regarding procedure and who to contact for what information. When we ran into trouble with our appraisal, Mark proved himself quite the aggressive and clever negotiator by bringing the price down of the home we had chosen! (Major points for that!) On top of everything Mark did for us as a real estate agent, he drove us around! As dedicated non-car users (right now), we would have had a hell of a time getting to/from all the different homes and condos. I can't imagine anyone else doing such a thing for me. Not even friends and family. We are now three weeks into living in our new home in Oakland's adorable Laurel District and couldn't be happier with our choice in home and real estate agent :)
When I decided to sell my condo, I wasn't sure how to find the right agent. I spoke with several agents For some reason, I found Mark to be very honest, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. Finding an agent was not the only challenge I had - I live in Southern California and needed to remodel my condo. I need someone to oversee contractors during the modeling process. Mark volunteers to oversee the upgrades on my behalf start-to-end and took over the responsibility fully. He worked closely with the contractors and inspector - His great recommendations on every aspect of the project and his design vision transformed my condo to an elegant and modern place to live. Mark made sure all my questions answered provided information that I was not aware of. He established marketing strategy and analysis that allowed me to make the best decision ever. The professionalism, timely follow-up, and the flexibility he offered are without a doubt world-class. Once the remodeling was done, it took Mark two weeks to stage and sell the place. I received several outstanding offers that I couldn't refuse multiple cash offers. Mark is a phenomenal guy and a consummate professional he truly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Mark to anyone who want to sell and/or purchase property. Thank You, Mark!!!
My experience with Mark was very positive. After initially bidding on a condo in Emeryville that ended up going for way over asking (typical Bay Area), I was super frustrated and ready to accept that owning my own place in the Bay just wasn't in the cards. Fortunately, Mark found another property and recommended I come by to check it out. Turns out the property was a great fit and right in line with the style I was looking for. I love lofts! Mark pushed me to put together an offer asap so we could grab it up before it was even listed. Less than 24 hours later it was accepted! I'm a first-time buyer and was a bit nervous about the whole process. Fortunately, Mark was super communicative and answered all of my naive questions along the way. The whole thing went very smoothly and he was incredibly responsive the whole time. He also did an excellent job of giving me transparency into a highly complex timeline/process. I really appreciate all of his help and highly recommend him to others!
Buying a home in the Bay Area is an extremely frustrating and difficult process. While no realtor will be able to shield you from the frustration of being continually outbid, Mark really came through for us and we are now the proud owners of a beautiful Lake Merritt condo. Mark did an excellent job negotiating with the seller and made sure the seller met their agreement, even a verbal agreement the seller's realtor mentioned at the open house. He was also extremely well organized. While my husband and I were first time home buyers, my husband's parents have bought and sold multiple properties with many realtors and they were impressed with how organized Mark was. You couldn't ask for a better realtor, especially as a first time home buyer.
Mark was great, and really flexible to my needs. I'm I guy that doesn't have a lot of time and Mark was really on top of things and made sure I could cut out the things that weren't necessary to save time.
Working with Mark was better than we could have imagined. Since we were first time home buyers, we didn't quite understand how the process worked but did know what we wanted in a home. Mark patiently walked us through every step and worked with us to narrow down neighborhoods that offered what we wanted for a price we could afford. He gave us great feedback on the places we looked at, pointing out potential problems we otherwise wouldn't have noticed. He walked us through daunting inspection reports and disclosure packages and assisted us in writing competitive bids. Throughout the entire process, Mark was always there to answer our questions and provide support when we needed it. He worked so hard for us, going to homes and sending us pictures while we were on vacation and meeting us nearly every weekend for six months. Even after closing on our San Leandro home, Mark continued to go above and beyond. Since we were living in San Francisco at the time, it made it difficult to arrange for workers to get into the house before we moved in. Mark loaned us a lock box so we didn't have to worry about letting them in. Once, he even had a family member stop by to ensure our house was being tented while he was out of town. We honestly can't recommend Mark enough and feel extremely lucky to have worked with him.
Mark was amazing in helping us buy our first home. He guided us through the whole process, and he was so patient, caring, and knowledgeable. He communicated regularly and consistently about every detail, he kept me updated, and he worked efficiently and tirelessly with both the listing agent and the title company. Even when a couple bumps came up in the process (problems on my end), he was always calm and reassuring, and everything went so well! We were able to close right on time. Mark is the best!
Mark is Amazing! I was on a tight time frame and traveling 2 1/2 hours on the hunt for my first home this summer and Mark was there every step of the way. He answered all of my questions, was flexible with meeting me on my days off to look at homes, extremely organized and ethical. I never felt rushed or like he was just trying to make a sale and he was able to get myself and my son into a beautiful home. I recommend Mark to anyone in the market to buy a home!
Mark began helping my family look for a home in the Bay area before we relocated from Austin, Texas to San Francisco about a year ago. We couldn't be happier with our choice in picking Mark to be our realtor, guide and friend through the daunting home search in the Bay area. We had no idea about the bidding process and different areas in the Bay.Immediately, Mark educated us on this new and scary process of buying a home in California. Being a Bay area native, Mark answered all of our questions about areas that he thought would be a good fit for our family at the same time letting us venture out to things that were clearly not going to work for us. He was always patient, friendly and understanding through the process. Even during the slow real estate times, Mark continued to stay in touch and made time to meet me for coffee to discuss new prospects and trends in the real estate market. When we finally found a home, Mark made sure we had valuable information about the property and made sure he was available to give us private tours of the home to address concerns and bring contractors to give us an idea about the work the home needed. Mark's expertise really shined when it came time to submit a bid for the home. Buying a home is the single biggest investment for many people and it can make one anxious about making the right choice. Mark again was patient with addressing our concerns. He made everything so much better by demystifying the escrow timeline. Mark ran a strict timeline and pushed for the close to be sooner than we expected by managining loose ends that could've held up escrow. I wasn't the easiest person to deal with during this time, but Mark never lost patience with me and was always a reassuring and calming source for me. Our entire family is grateful to Mark and his real estate expertise. We now have a beautiful home we love! Mark is the best at what he does!
A few years later, I am obligated to write a new rave review as an update. As much as we loved our home, a new work opportunity came up for us and we jumped at it, reaching out to Mark as soon as we found out we needed to move. We were both pretty bad at redecorating or doing anything handy around the house. We wanted a move-in ready house and that just what we got! Very grateful for it too, because who has time and energy to fix up a house after unpacking? So, it was time for us to fix up our home, and Mark saw to that right away. Within a month, Mark helped and led us through dolling up our house--pointing out critical items that we needed to fix, replace, or have done differently. Everything from choosing colors to meeting with vendors, he was there for. I don't know how we could have done it without his help and insight on what homebuyers were looking for in the market. Not to mention his helpful redecorating tips--could have used that earlier in our homeowner life :) Mark's thoughtfulness and thoroughness, not to mention quick decision-making skills made him such an asset to us when trying to figure out how to sell our home and to whom! I don't know if we expected to sell our home so fast, but it sold much faster than we could even imagine. And to such a great couple too, which was important to us because our HOA was such a nice community to be part of that we wanted to ensure that our neighbors felt comfortable with the next owner. You're in great hands with Mark. Ask him lots of questions! He knows all the answers ;)
Just closed on our first ever home with Mark as our realtor. He is fantastic. I really can't put into words how satisfied we are with working with him. He's informed, communicates extremely well, and instills confidence in every step of what is typically a stressful process for most people. He's also extremely savvy, and helped us negotiate a nice little discount on our home's final purchase price. Highly recommended.
Mark was a really excellent and supportive agent. I am also a first time homebuyer and I had LOTS of questions--often the same ones multiple times. Mark was super patient and always available to address what questions came up in the process. On top of being professional and knowledgeable Mark is also just a lovely person. It's such a treat to be able to go through this confusing and often times upsetting process with someone who is kind and pleasant and always offers a hug. I would definitely work with Mark again!
